STERLING, Ill – Halo, the $1B brand experience and merchandise company, today announced appointments to its Board of Directors and executive leadership team. Melanie Whelan has joined Halo’s Board of Directors, while Dan Shedivy has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Christine Fong has joined the company as Executive Vice President & General Manager, Merchandising & Marketing.

“We’re building the leadership team and governance to match the opportunity ahead of us,” said Jim Hilt, Chief Executive Officer of Halo. “Brands today are looking for partners who can help bring their stories to life across every physical touchpoint. Melanie, Dan and Christine each bring a unique combination of leadership, operational excellence and brand expertise that will strengthen our ability to serve clients, empower our team members and accelerate Halo’s next chapter.”

Melanie Whelan Joins Halo Board of Directors

Halo has appointed Melanie Whelan to its Board of Directors. Whelan currently serves as an Advisory Partner at Summit Partners and sits on the boards of FIGS, PostPilot, OVME, and RISE Youth Sports Platform. Previously, she served as Chief Executive Officer of SoulCycle, where she helped build one of the world’s most recognized experiential consumer brands.

Throughout her career, Whelan has built and advised companies centered on consumer engagement, brand growth and category-defining experiences. That expertise aligns closely with Halo’s mission of helping brands build meaningful connections in the physical world.

“As both a brand leader and a consumer, I have always believed that the strongest brands earn their place in people’s lives through the experiences they create, not just the messages they send,” said Whelan. “What draws me to Halo is how the company combines creativity, strong relationships and disciplined execution across the things people see, wear, use and carry, enabling brands to create a more complete and consistent presence in the world. I am proud to join the Board at such an important moment for the company and excited for what comes next.”

Dan Shedivy Named Chief Financial Officer

Halo also recently welcomed Dan Shedivy as Chief Financial Officer. Shedivy brings more than 25 years of experience spanning finance, corporate strategy and business transformation. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Medical Solutions, where he led finance, accounting and corporate development for a healthcare services company with more than $3 billion in revenue. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at William Blair, J.P. Morgan and McKinsey & Company, helping organizations improve performance, navigate transformation and create long-term value.

Christine Fong Joins as EVP & General Manager, Merchandising & Marketing

Christine Fong has joined Halo as Executive Vice President & General Manager, Merchandising & Marketing, where she will lead the company’s newly integrated Merchandising & Marketing organization. She most recently served as General Manager at Mars Science & Diagnostics and previously led the Gifts & Home business at Shutterfly. Across her career, Fong has built deep expertise spanning merchandising, product development, marketing, e-commerce, business strategy and general management. She will lead Halo’s integrated merchandising, sourcing, marketing and creative teams as the company continues to elevate the way it brings innovative products and brand experiences to market.

Together, these appointments add proven leaders in brand building, operational excellence and business transformation, deepening Halo’s ability to serve clients, support its account executives and deliver on its long-term growth strategy.
